Sunflowers... a knitted bracelet pattern

A few weeks ago, I came across this pattern on ravelry by Kirsten Johnstone.  I made the necklace for a friend and was competely smitten by Kirsten's clever pattern. I thought I'd try modifying the pattern a bit to make a bracelet, and to my surprise, it worked!

I have shared my modifications below and I would like to
give all credit to the original pattern maker and thank her for her brilliance and generosity for the free pattern.

This pattern isn't set in stone so feel free to experiment with yarn, number of cast on stitches as well as the number of knit rows.  Smaller wrists may benefit from fewer cast on stitches.

I also knit this using the 'magic loop' method because I'm not comfortable with double pointed needles.  If you're unfamiliar with this method, I've included a link to an excellent video tutorial for your viewing pleasure. :)  It's actually quite easy.
